In conjunction with many PGA’s around the world and the LPGA we are pleased to offer the unique online Certified Putting Instructor (CPI) course which ongoing education points from participating PGA’s and a special Certificate will be earned upon successful completion.
The CPI Course was introduced in 2010, and is conducted online via text, videos, and assessments. You can complete the course at your own pace on your own schedule, with ongoing help and support from a CPI Course Moderator. It can be completed in 6-8 hours of online learning.
The CPI Course is a fact based, structured, and systematic approach to putting instruction built on scientific principles and is supported by an Advisory Board, 12 of whom have a PhD in golf related disciplines.
A CPI is an expert in helping golfers of all levels improve their putting. Approximately 45% of a golfer’s score are putts. Surveys show that 93% of golfers would seriously consider taking a dedicated putting lesson from a CPI. Based on 600 first time putting lessons from a CPI, golfers improved from 4/10 to 7/10 in self rated putting skill.
The course was created by Frank Thomas – former USGA Technical Director (1974 -2000); Inventor of the graphite shaft (1969); Introduced the redesigned Stimpmeter in (1977) and Valerie Melvin – Scottish international golfer and putting researcher; B.Sc. (Hons.) Psychology, M.Sc. (Med Sci.) Sports & Exercise Science; Co-author of four golf books.
There are over 300 CPI’s in 28 countries around the world, with 100% positive response. Here is what some of them are saying about the CPI qualification:
